Founded in 1550, the Monastery of Osios David is one
of the few monasteries on Evia that is occupied by men. The monastery
houses a wonderful exhibition of historical and religious documents
that are well worth viewing when you visit the monastery.
The hospitality of the monks here is well known, and visitors are
able to sample some herbal tea, local olives and dried figs.
Visiting this magnificent monastery is something all visitors to
Rovies and North Evia should do. Travelling to the monastery from
